Facebook has made all their users be searched on the internet via search engines (i.e. Google, Yahoo, MSN etc) unless the user opt-out on the privacy setting.
If you are one of those people who doesn’t want to be listed on Search Engine or don’t want to be found on the internet, Follow the method below.
- Login to Facebook
- Go to the Privacy (it is situated on the top right hand corner)
- Click on Search (After Profile)
- And untick the box where it says “Allow anyone to see my public search listing (what's this?) — view my public search listing”
That’s it!
You can leave “Which Facebook users can find me in search?” as Everyone because, whoever wants to search you have to be logged into Facebook before doing so. That is the default setting anyways…
If you want to completely hide from everyone but your friends, follow the instructions Here.
